Starring Ben Affleck, Ana de Armas, Tracy Letts, Grace Jenkins, Dash Mihok, Rachel Blanchard

Ben Affleck takes his darker side on another outing alongside Ana de Armas as a perfect couple with issues. We spend an intense two hours working out their mind games in this psychological thriller from the director of Indecent Proposal and Lolita, Adrian Lyne.
I've always enjoyed Affleck's performances and he's no less effective here. Coupled with Ana de Armas they're a perfect match and very watchable. Affleck seems especially at ease here, which really helps draw us in to his character.
The plot also hooks us in nicely, leaving some stones unturned along the way so we're not 100% sure what's going on. The big mystery is working out what the hell this couple are all about! I'd have perhaps called this marriage a day a lot earlier on, but each to their own.
Things tick along nicely and at a good pace until the final act when events untangle and aren't quite as neat as the rest of the movie had been up to that point. The pacing feels a little off and we get to where we're going too soon, with some questionable plot choices too late in the game.
Nevertheless this is an intense, sexually charged thriller which would be a great Friday night streamer choice.
