Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey ★★
David E. Talbert
Starring Forest Whitaker, Keegan-Michael Key, Hugh Bonneville, Anika Noni Rose

To review this film and critique its flaws seems to miss the point of the film in the first place. This is first and foremost a film for children; a new story with its sights firmly set on being an annual rewatch for years to come.
The set and the costumes are stunning with impressive attention to detail. Yes that attention to detail seems to be completely missing in the script; and yes, the movie is probably around thirty minutes too long, dragging itself over the finishing line with a mix of impressive and half-baked songs. But, as I say, that's not the point!
Children are going to love this. A fair few adults might too. Although it's worth watching, I for one will not be editing my annual Christmas film playlist to make room for Jeronicus Jangle.
